Water Disposal

Chlorine dioxide is effective in destroying odor causing and corrosive compounds in waste water streams.  Several examples are:

  • Sewage and Waste Water:  ClO2 is an excellent solution to the problem of odor and biofilm control in stacks and scrubbers in waste treatment facilities.

  • Grey and Black Water—Waste water produced aboard ships must be treated prior to discharge.

  • Ballast Water—ClO2 can be used for biofilm control in the water and head spaces aboard ships.

  • Hydraulic Fracturing process water--ClO2 is used extensively in the oil patch to oxidize contaminants and take harmful pathogens our of process water that is recycled for down hole fracturing.
