Chlorine Dioxide is Part of the Solution for a Severe Odor Problem in Drinking Water

Water Online reports that Wichita Falls, TX is using chlorine dioxide along with potassium permanganate and activated carbon to treat a severe odor problem caused by algae.  The chemicals are applied at different points in the treatment process so that they do not cancel each other out. The utility is no longer drawing water from Lake Arrowhead where algae growth is severe.
